Every Seventh Wave

This sculptural book forms part of the Tidal Island body of work. The subject is about making a crossing at high tide when every seventh wave is said to be the largest. Multiples of seven waves on seven pages with seven small oil paintings explore this idea. The physicality of the work is considered as the repetitive ethereal page turning of transparent Japanese paper separates each page as if each too were a wave.
